This year hasn't really been a great one so far with all the rain we've had so far, and then the virus, has made making plans for shows and races a real stickler. We managed to sneak in a few shows so far this season and are proud of our horses accomplishments so far. Our first racemeet wasn't bad a couple 3rds, a 2nd and other placings. Our racers did do too bad, but there is definitely room for improvement with a couple of them!
As for the show horses, our numbers are starting to get more manageable. We've sold most of our non-sporthorses, but still have a few hanging around bit no biggie. We have big Hope's for our Eventers this month!! We have a couple of our horses heading to the Rolex 3 Day Event and others! We're also excited to get more of our homebreds on scene with Eventing and Dressage, and we have some real promising prospects!!
And the grooms have been installing new fans in the barns for this summer. The weather people are saying it could be a scorcher....I'll believe it when I see it!! But just for precautionary measures we've taken out the old ones and the new ones are going in! The barn heaters have also been maintenance for the year so their ready for a cold winter!! I'm happy to add the fences and farm implements have all been maintained. We added a smaller outdoor arena to showcase our Warmblood and Sporthorse foals!! Our trophy room has been renovated and enlarged, and one of the new unused barns has been renovated to accommodate future weanlings that will be on their way to training as yearlings! There is so much going on that I'm sure I'm missing things. Spring is definitely in full swing as the new foals arrive much to our excitement!! Stay tuned for our features foal crop!!!
