About the stallion:
Cherokee Fable CH is quite a vision to behold. Not only is he sparkly white like an ethereal spirit, but he's full of (himself) charisma! A genuine, bright, and happy horse, he has a sense of humor and has gained the reputation as a jokester around the stable. Especially if he's allowed a mud puddle to play in or a dog to chase down. But as a competition horse he can be quite serious and will get upset with his rider if he is held back. He is long, lean, and leggy, looks taller than he actually is, and can really get under himself for a burst of speed when needed. We foresee this impressive colt becoming more impressive as he matures out of his gangly appearance, and should be a force to reckon with as a race horse and eventually an eventing horse.
About the lineage:
Cherokee Fable CH's sire is DSF Fabled Spirit, who had an inconsistent racing career through no fault of his own but was showing a lot of promise when he was allowed a regular schedule. He retired with over $640K in earnings and five wins with three of those being graded stakes. His sire DSF Fable had a short career as well, and is most notably the sire of ARI Sunbathers In Peril. DSF Fabled Spirit's dam is the late Solar Ghost CH, who is also notably the dam of nine-time stakes winning Stellaris CH who won the second leg of the 2020 Triple Tiara, placed in the 2021 Pegasus World Cup Invitational G1, and retired with $6.4+ million LTE. Solar Ghost CH had a very short race career before transitioning to eventing and eventually hunters, where she did quite well and became a National Champion. Her sire Ghost Eclipse was regarded as one of the top sires in his time, and her dam and granddam were both Hall of Famers with National Championships.
Cherokee Fable CH's dam is the gorgeous white mare DSF Deepika. Poor Deepika! She was robbed of a full racing career by owner inactivity, racing only three times in 2009 as a two year old, and qualified for the Breeder's Cup Juvenile Turf in her SECOND race, winning a Grade III stakes! Who knows what she could have done with a full career. Her sire is a notably jumper and sire of jumpers in Australia. DSF Deepika's dam is IHF Chilukki, who was an eventer who had a successful brood career where each of her foals have done decently on the track when given the opportunity. This includes 2013 Kentucky Derby and Jockey Club Stakes winner BM Benedictus (who was also second in the Breeder's Cup Marathon in 2015), The Pilgrim Stakes G3 winner NH Star Gazer, and G3 winner DSF Deepika. Deepika also carries the super rare W27 gene which will give her offspring an interestingly "spotty" coat pattern!
