About the mare:
American Cynic CH is a well-built mare who represents both sides of her lines just beautifully. She is a refined mare, feminine with a pretty face but not lacking in power or the perception thereof. She has impeccable conformation with nice sloping shoulders, well-sprung barrel, deep chest, long reaching legs, and wide hindquarters. She also has pretty tough hooves, which is in everyone's favor. She's an honest horse who gives respect and expects it back, and does not tolerate rough handling (or flappy things in the wind! She'll bolt!).
About the lineage:
American Cynic CH is by the celebrated CK ImaCynic, who recently returned to the show ring after a long period of inactivity. As a racehorse, he was amazing! He boasts thirteen wins, nine of which are stakes races and includes the TRA Breeder's Cup Juvenile G1 and Dubai Sheema Classic G1. His career efforts earned him over $6.7 million LTE, as well as 2011 Two Year Old Colt of the Year and 2012 Male Turf Horse of the Year. He has only one foal that has hit the track by the end of 2021, but she was outstanding in her one season career, winning the first leg of the English Triple Tiara and was third in the third leg. ImaCynic's sire is DSF Ironic Bidder, who in his day won over $4 million LTE as a multi-graded stakes winner, topping his career with both 2009 and 2010 Eclipse Award Male Turf Winner and 2009 Eclipse Award HORSE OF THE YEAR. His foals have captured five English Triple Crown races, with DSF Vantage becoming the English Triple Crown Champion in 2014. ImaCynic's dam is Makyme Shine, who had a short race career but is notably the daughter of Makyme Diva, who captured many "firsts" in her day: first mare to win two Melbourne Cups, first horse to win Sydney Cup/Melbourne Cup in the same season, first horse to with two Melbournes and a Cox Plate and the first mare to do it, set world record speeds, set record for carrying the most weight for a mare in a Melbourne Cup, Australia's greatest prizemoney earner, and highest rated filly or mare ever in the world. She was introduced into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame and named the Worlds Best Turf Mare in 2006.
American Cynic CH is out of BR American Charm, a mare we are most pleased to have grabbed from The Committee. She is the progeny of the Top #1 and #2 producing Thoroughbred sire and dam respectively in the now defunct ASJC. Acclimatization was THE highest ranking sire, topping the boards consistently each month at #1. With 23 progeny in the ASJC (several just breeding horses), 172 races were run with 60 wins, 52 places, 33 shows, (35% wins, 84% wps) with combined earnings of $16,576,400. Of these wins, 7 were maidens, 8 were allowance, 17 UNG, 6 G3, 18 G2, and 4 G1. Her dam Roaring Charm was the NUMBER TWO ranked broodmare in the ASJC. Of 60 races, her five progeny had 19 wins, 14 places, and 9 shows (32% wins, 70% wps) with combined earnings of $9,927,000. Of these wins, 1 was a maiden, 2 were allowance, 4 UNG, 2 G3, 5 G2, 4 G1, putting her securely in the Black Type Mare category.
